So you’re planning on getting your CCIE? Welcome to the club.
Few things you should understand. You have to decide which type of CCIE you want to be. I like to think there are two types of CCIE. There are the lab CCIEs, and there are the full CCIE.
A lab CCIE is that person that has manage to get a good deal and have gone over all sort of bootcamps in a very short time. Probably manage to get the written exam Q&A and eventually it manage to get enough to pass the lab.
Well, I have know few of those and they end up damaging the CCIE title.
There are the others, what I call full CCIEs. These are the one that have a solid theoretical and practical background. Those who have the willing to learn the technology. Not to pass an exam but to be able to find the best solution for the every-day job.
